Bursting with flavor

with one comment

The photo theme for the day is the color red, which worked out well for me because this was pizza night at our house.

Pictured here is our “secret family recipe pizza.” The crust is made with garlic-infused olive oil and sprinkled with truffle salt, and then we pile on arrabbiata sauce, sharp cheddar cheese, spoonfuls of creamy chèvre, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh spinach and cauliflower, and raw cashews. We add the kimchi (liberally) as a garnish after everything else is bubbly and golden brown.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons why a person might decide that they do not want to be a vegetarian, but I’m of the opinion that blandness should not be on that list.

  1. That sounds delicious, and not just because I’m hungry – how brilliant an idea, using kimchi on pizza! Will be trying this out, hopefully sooner than later.
